The Russian prosthetic company (RPC) submitted an application to Rospatent to register software for the "Kinez-1" module.
"To obtain the copyright, an application for a patent registration of our development was submitted to Rospatent on August 4. We are talking about the software that was developed in 2023 to control the "Kinez-1" knee-joint polycentric electronic unit," said Ruslan Saitgareev, CEO of RPC.
The full name of the product is software for automatic control of the operating parameters of the knee-joint polycentric electronic unit "Kinez-1".
The patent will be issued within a month from the date of application.
It was reported earlier that 140 employees of the Moscow Prosthetic and Orthopedic Enterprise (MosPrOE) joint-stock company had been given instructions on the "Kinez-1" installation. RPC and MosPrOE signed an agreement under which the module will become a component in the production of domestic prostheses.
